New Website!

First of all we wanted to thank all of you for your support in 2006! We have many goals for the coming year and with your help I know 2007 will be great! We are making many exciting changes and are welcoming your feedback and thoughts. We recently changed our name to Dave Weisenbarger Photography Studio to help with name recognition and now we are proud to unveil our new website! Check it out at www.daveweisenbarger.com. Click on "Our Services" to see a list of our packages, session ideas, discounts, print products and prices. There is tons of information which should answer just about any question you have:) Our "Portfolio" page has also been expanded so make sure to take a look. One of our biggest and most exciting additions is our "Client Proofs" page. You can now view your proofs right on our website and your work servers should not be able to block this one! There's lots to explore on the new website, so take a look and make sure to let me know what you think!

Special Session Price Continues!

We've had such success with our promotional session price that we have decided to continue it! Schedule a session between now and November 30th and pay only $40 for the sitting fee. We are also working on a customer referral program and should be rolling that out soon. Keep checking in for more updates!

Makeup tips

One quick tip about applying makeup before a photoshoot... Put on lots of it! Modern digital lenses pick up the tiniest blemishes of your face. Studio lights also tend to brighten your face and wash out some features. I recommend for women to wear at least twice as much makeup as you wear normally. It might look a bit ridiculous and painted in the mirror, but it will look glamorous and help define and highlight your best features in the photos.

What to wear?

This is the most commonly asked question when preparing for your photo session.
If you are having family portraits done, make sure all members of the family wear matching colors. Consult with the photographer to see what background is going to be used for the shoot, your outfit should contrast the color of the background. Basic colors with minimum design always work very well. The most important thing to bring out in the photographs is your face, you don't want the clothes to drown it out.
If you are brinning in your little ones for a session, make sure they are wearing something comfortable. Don't overdress. We want to catch the most natural, memorable moments and those will happen only when they are comfy:) We usually suggest a fun, playful outfit for half the session and a laid back, relaxed look for the other half.
If you are coming in for a glamour or model portfolio shoot you will want to an interesting outfit, something that grabs attention and emphasizes your best features. Again, consult the photographer as to the background/location to be used.
I also suggest you bring a couple of outfit choices, we can work with you to find the best fit and in the end you will come out with a variety of great photos that capture your style and personality.

I'm really excited about this because I did not think we would be able to offer it. But for the next 30 days (September 17 - October 17) the session price has been cut by 50%! It is now $35 and this includes as many poses as you like, as many people as you like in studio or on location.
